Hey Francis- this time is was actually at the Art School- we needed a bigger venue than Club 69 so that we could afford to pay the guys' fee- Club 69 only holds 150 people and we would have to charged about 40 quid a ticket :) They did a free gig there back in July (I think) last year which I couldn't go to as I had booked a nice dinner with my girlfriend without checking the date first.....AND I had to come in to work to hear all about it on Monday morning. Rubbing salt in the wounds and all that!
We did make some upgrades to the Art School though- for anyone who hasn't been before it's a bit of a Gym Hall sort of venue with a WEAK sound system and plastic glassses (booooo!)...we got a really nice sounding rig that was also very loud- we had to gaffa tape the keyboards to their stands on stage to stop them vibrating right off at the sound check!
