Hmmm, at my work we've had people from clubs come and ask us about a similar concept many times. We always patiently explain to them that it wouldn't work for sound in the way it does for light - you couldn't sense the sweet spot at another location and track its progress. So with light you see the "spotlight" elsewhere, enjoy seeing it highlight various areas and go wild (maybe) as it comes toward you. With sound it's just going to sound like the PA is bad for most of the time and you'll have no sense of the sweet spot apart from when it passes over you briefly. Not too sure if this fits what they're trying as I've not seen this video (just had a look at the site but can't spot it), do you have a link?
