We are currently searching for a Info Security Engineer for our client in Chandler, AZ. Info Security Engineer Chandler, AZ Duration: 9 months Requirements: We are looking for a team player interested in joining Clients Information Security Technology organization as a contractor. Our team is part of a group called Cryptography Services, a dynamic technology group working in the exciting area of authentication, encryption and security technologies and services. This position is responsible for VAS-UnixSecure Support - supporting Unix/Linux servers that are installed with an Active Directory Kerberos based Secure Single Sign On solution. This position entails working on 1st and 2nd level technical troubleshooting, problem ticket resolution, implementation of changes and responding to technical inquiries via e-mail. Required Skill Set: Exceptional customer service, communication and organizational skills, professionalism and sense of urgency are a must, proven intermediate to advanced level "Systems Administrator" Level Experience on at least 2 of the following operating systems: Red Hat Linux, Solaris, HPUX or AIX. extensive knowledge of Unix accounts - understanding of UID, GID, Home Directory path, GECOS field, default shell, etc. The ideal candidate should be a dynamic problem solver - someone who has intermediate to advanced skills with troubleshooting software/ application problems on Unix/Linux Servers. - experience supporting and troubleshooting issues with OpenSSH or a commercial SSH Server product on Unix/Linux. They will have the willingness, desire and proven ability to work on varied technical support tasks - technical troubleshooting, problem resolution, server O/S installs, testing, documentation, escalation of end-user support issues and Unix shell scripting. Skills that would be a Plus: conceptual knowledge of Kerberos or GSS-API, experience with Information Security Technology products/services and/or projects, experience supporting VAS (Vintela Authentication Services). Platform and Skill Set Expertise: Systems Administration : UNIX Project Description: Participates in the research, analysis, design, testing and implementation of complex computer network security/protection technologies for company information and network systems/applications. Assists customers in identifying security solutions for the company's networks and virtual private networks, application systems, key public infrastructures, authentication and directory services to ensure the security of the network and confidential data. Performs periodic vulnerability scans of networks to identify security vulnerabilities and provides remediating alternatives and conducts security risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and adherence to best practices. Performs round the- clock intrusion detection monitoring of company networks and systems. Participates in computer security incident response activities and the technical investigations of security related incidents. Participates in the evaluation of vendor proposals, new and existing security designs, and emerging security technologies and systems. May provide technical guidance to less experienced staff. Minimum Experience: 4 yr degree plus 10-12 yrs exp. I will need to conduct 2-4 supervisory references from previous employers so please attached those as well.
