Data Center Analyst

Location :- Stamford, CT
Term:-  3+ Contract to Hire
Job Description
•          Participate in architecting the existing Citrix environment
for higher efficiencies and redundancy
•          Document procedures including but not limited to Disaster
Recovery for Citrix Infrastructure and Citrix based applications
•          Take lead on troubleshooting and resolving all Citrix
related issues for the customer
•          Help with upgrading Citrix environment from MPS4.0 to
MPS5.0
•          Help evaluate implement monitoring and performance tuning
tools for Citrix environment based on requirements
•          Help with updating and configuring Citrix clients across
all Purdue network as and when needed.
•          Patch management of Wintel servers
o    Need to follow the CFR 21 part 11 procedures for validated
systems
•          Help the existing team in hardware refresh of 40 Intel
Servers
•          Provide support during the Intel Expansion of 100 Servers.
•          Rebalancing of servers and components between P1East and
P1West
•          Provide Stamford based Level 2 support during the 3 DR Test
exercises
•          Rack and Remove computing equipment as needed in Stamford
Data Center
•          Open tickets in Helpdesk system whenever any hardware
replacement or repair is needed
•          Make sure all appropriate logs are filled out by any data
center visitors
•          Make sure the Data center is kept clean and free of any
cables, equipment or garbage
•          Run fiber and/or copper cable for both Network and SAN
infrastructures in the data center
•          Assist various TSO teams with day to day miscellaneous
work
•          Open daily problem ticket in Purdue’s Change Management
system, if a system error is detected
Skills
•          Total 5 years of experience needed
•          Strong Windows 2003 operating system experience
•          Hardware knowledge required
•          Very strong Citrix knowledge
o    From Citrix Metaframe XP (old version) to XenApp
o    4 years of operational knowledge on Citrix
•          Vmware ESX knowledge is also a plus
•          BMC Magic helpdesk system knowledge is an added advantage
•          Willing to work in shifts
