Project Desc: The State of NJ will be looking for a resource that can assist
with the upgrade of certain Java development and production environments:
the current environment is a Sun application server stack with Sun One
Studio as the IDE. This resource will assist in assessing the system for the
upgrade to a new environment. In determining the strategic direction, the
resource will be instrumental in standardizing on one of the following
platforms: Sun, IBM or Oracle Application Servers and IDE. Note, the entire
software and hardware infrastructure from desktop, test and production will
need to be replaced.
The person selected would need demonstrated experience in assessing
environment and planning for upgrades to similar environments. This
consultant should be brand neutral - delivering an unbiased and
well-documented solution. Assessment should take into consideration
associated costs for hardware, software and training. A detailed project
plan with the appropriate work steps to implement the solution is required
by completion of the assessment. Please respond, via email only, with your
