Short Description:
This single-user database will be replaced with a multi-user web
application. Assignment is for a consultant to continue the development and
implementation effort, and support the day-to-day use of the system.
Complete Description:
The new local programs/grant application is called S-RIDES (Sub-Recipient
Information, Data and Equipment System). This web based application was now
developed so that the users can maintain vehicle inventory, state/federal
funding and entities using these services through NJ Transit. The
application is current in its’ second phase of development.
Ideal candidates for this position will have at least one year experience in
the process of submitting and approving applications and/or proposals
submitted by various organizations (public and private non-profit as well as
public bodies) for funds to purchase fully accessible vans and minibuses for
transportation through the FTA Section 5310 Grant Program, FTA Sections
5311, 5316 and 5317 as well as administration, operating and capital under
the state sponsored casino revenue funded transportation program (SCDRTAP).
This consultant must have experience in developing application
specifications based on user requirements. This person needs to have the
ability to develop ASP.NET web applications using VB.NET 2005 and IIS.
He/she will also need to have Oracle experience and be able to develop
Oracle stored procedures, tables and complex queries. Once developed, this
consultant will continue to maintain and support the application.
This candidate will work within the I.S. department in Maplewood, who will
oversee this development effort.
