Sorry, could you clarify the problem some more?
It looks to me the server is doing the right thing... The entry has 2
mail attr values:
dn: sn=201406020923,ou=People,dc=ind,dc=xyz,dc=com
*mail: [email protected]*
*mail: [email protected]*
And you are adding the same attribute value, which is supposed to be
rejected by LDAP_TYPE_OR_VALUE_EXISTS. Please note that mail has
SYNTAX: IA5String, EQUALITY: caseIgnoreIA5Match.

mail: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
