Hi,

with LMDB backend data.mdb contains all data: backends, indexes, entries.
You don't need to create anything yourself.

dbscan can display all sub-dbs:
dbscan -L /var/lib/dirsrv/slapd-localhost/db
or you can access individual indexes:
dbscan -s -f /var/lib/dirsrv/slapd-localhost/db/userroot/parentid.db
