Position Details
1) Channel Sales Director
Number of position: 1
Location:
Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia
Coverage: Indonesia , Philippines , Brunei ,
Vietnam and Thailand
Compensation: Total package of Base + Commission of USD 80K to 110K (depending on experience) (on a 60:40 split)
Travel: 30%
Position Brief:
The Channel Sales Director will implement and execute the channel strategy for the company's main markets in Indonesia , Philippines , Brunei , Vietnam and Thailand
This role requires the individual to not only interface with partners, but also with customers.
This is an individual contributor role and the person will have no direct reports. He will report to the Sales Director for South Asia who is based in Singapore
The successful candidate is a strategic person who is able to develop, cultivate and retain strong partners who would be able to generate new deals and assist the company in market penetration.
He is required to rationalize the discount structure amongst the partner community, monitor partner pipelines, ensure lead registration, route leads to the most appropriate partner, and manages any channel conflicts with respect to opportunities being pursued. He must be able to identify each partner's strengths and weaknesses and ensure that each partner is trained and certified in relevant solutions.
The successful candidate is expected to achieve and exceed license sales quota of USD1.4 million.
We are looking for a hunter! A person that can leverage and motivate channels to perform!
Must Have (No Exceptions):
- Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a channel sales role with regional experience in the enterprise software industry. Some direct sales experience will be looked at favorable as well.
- Have a solid track record of achieving quota.
- Must be based in KL for the role. We will consider relocation of a candidate from
- Worked in a brand-name international technology company in the past. Examples of companies that the ideal candidate would have worked in are EMC, BMC, SSA, SAP, IBM, Oracle, HP, Microsoft, SAS, Business Objects, Sun Microsystems, BEA Systems, Hyperion, Siebel, Interwoven, Cognos, Documentum, and Computer Associates.
