I also have noticed changes in how scrolling in the Design environment have
changed with each version of 4D. For me big changes appeared in v15 on macOS
and using the Magic Mouse.

I have found 4D to be much more sensitive to every touch and movement of my
fingers on my Magic Mouse. A flick of the finger to scroll up or down doesn’t
seem to work the same in 4D as it does in other macOS applications.

Say you are editing a form and you have the Property List open. You want to
click on an attribute to edit the value and find your typing is ignored. I’ve
found you have to be very precise with the Magic Mouse on macOS and click the
attribute value area in the Property list and then don’t be sloppy with your
finger. Click and get that finger away from the mouse. Otherwise the slight
movement of your finger will cause the Property List to scroll or it will cause
it to lose focus on the attribute value before you begin to type.

Also scrolling of forms and in the Property List is very sensitive. You must
control your fingers and move them with precision. Otherwise things don’t work
like you expect.

Maybe changing “Tracking” in System Settings for Mouse would make this less of
an issue. But I only notice these problem in 4D.

I’ve come to the conclusion that it is just the result of old men with fat,
sloppy fingers that is causing the problem. Of course… I could be wrong. :)
