Bill,

We have been running the web server from 4D Remote for years and, no, you
don't need to configure via code. I have a dialog on the web serving 4D
remote with a button that calls OPEN SETTINGS WINDOW("/Web") which opens the
preference window. Since upgrading from v12 to v15 I get an alert "To
execute this command you must have administrator rights," which the "web
user" does not have but it works anyway... go figure. Also make sure that
your "web user" is the only one with access to the web server. You do this
by creating a "Web" group that has access to the 4D Remote Web plugin and
then putting your user in that group. Make sure your other groups do not
have access to the plugin. Lastly, my "web user" is a Designer user, not
Admin to make sure an admin can't fiddle with the setup.

Regards,
Scott Wirth
