Chip: Agreed. I've used Replace in content to update where some method names are called but insofar as changing the method name itself, I think it will have to be one at a time.
I've used API Pack for my workspace palette and for creating methods so I looked into that. Checking the docs just now, there are commands to check for a method by name, create a method, and set the content of a method but nothing to get the text and rename a method. So it looks like no joy if you're on V12. -- Douglas von Roeder 949-336-2902 On Tue, Nov 15, 2016 at 7:37 AM, Chip Scheide <[email protected]> wrote: > replace in content does not change the name of the method itself... > > so... i guess it is one at a time > > On Mon, 14 Nov 2016 14:32:41 -0800, Douglas von Roeder wrote: > > Chip: > > > > The Rename function does one at a time but you can always search for the > > name of the method as a string and then do "Replace in content". > > > > > > -- > > Douglas von Roeder > > 949-336-2902 > > > > On Mon, Nov 14, 2016 at 2:22 PM, Chip Scheide <[email protected] > > > > wrote: > > > >> I what to rename a number of methods. > >> the 'module' prefix is no longer valid/desired > >> I would like to change the names of all the methods at once, rather > >> then having to rename them 1 at a time. > >> > >> Thanks > >> Chip > >> ********************************************************************** > >> 4D Internet Users Group (4D iNUG) > >> FAQ: http://lists.4d.com/faqnug.html > >> Archive: http://lists.4d.com/archives.html > >> Options: http://lists.4d.com/mailman/options/4d_tech > >> Unsub: mailto:[email protected] > >> ********************************************************************** > > ********************************************************************** > > 4D Internet Users Group (4D iNUG) > > FAQ: http://lists.4d.com/faqnug.html > > Archive: http://lists.4d.com/archives.html > > Options: http://lists.4d.com/mailman/options/4d_tech > > Unsub: mailto:[email protected] > > ********************************************************************** > ********************************************************************** > 4D Internet Users Group (4D iNUG) > FAQ: http://lists.4d.com/faqnug.html > Archive: http://lists.4d.com/archives.html > Options: http://lists.4d.com/mailman/options/4d_tech > Unsub: mailto:[email protected] > ********************************************************************** > ********************************************************************** 4D Internet Users Group (4D iNUG) FAQ: http://lists.4d.com/faqnug.html Archive: http://lists.4d.com/archives.html Options: http://lists.4d.com/mailman/options/4d_tech Unsub: mailto:[email protected] **********************************************************************
