modern font rendering engines account for the descent (hanging) height beneath 
the baseline,
so a layout that assumed the font was placed "on top" of the base line tend to 
get trimmed at the bottom.

fortunately you have functions such as FORM GET OBJECTS, OBJECT Get type in v15,
so you can have a generic method that calls OBJECT GET BEST SIZE on all single 
line text inputs.
you could even take advantage of METHOD GET CODE to insert that method to every 
form method.
