This can lead to tedious work. As a recommendation, don't do fancy things, let the content to be as simple as possible. Especially the rendering of html content in MS Outlook is sometimes a bit ... special. Outlook uses the rendering engine of MS Word, testing of the content using the Internet Explorer doesn't help.
