Interesting topic! Two more parts to the question that apply, well, to me: * Who is the customer? A real-world client or another 4D developer? I ask because I subcontract to other 4D developers and they're the ones doing the hard work of finding and maintaining a customer and are the ones wearing the risks. Perhaps subcontracting rate is a distinct question for which a lot of people would say "I don't do subcontracting"...but some of us do. (In Australia, there aren't very many freelance 4D people but in California there are heaps.)
* What currency are we talking about? All over the world gives a lot of targets.
