Greg,
I have one of the new MBPs that came with Sierra. I joined the 'public
beta' as well to get to 10.12.2 early. I haven't even tried to use v13 on
it. In fact I have given up trying to use it for 4D at all. It won't run
v15.3 reliably, it will probably run v16 production but frankly it's just
too big a pain to make it work right now. Attempting to use it means I
effectively walk around with two laptops. Huge disappointment
<https://michaelhyatt.com/new-macbook-pro.html>. I'm seriously considering
selling it and waiting another year to see if 4D and Apple can come to some
equilibrium.

I've heard that some folks upgraded older hardware to Sierra and can run 4D
reliably including v13. Personally I'm still using Yosemite which is crashy
enough on good days. Like the article says there are some cool features in
Sierra but without being able to run my primary software it doesn't really
matter.
