many syntax errors? it might matter where 4D starts the syntax checking. I know that some syntax errors will 'block' others.
I would try fixing a bunch of the errors, then try again. since you have so many errors, it really doesn't matter whether there are 1103, or 1502, or some other number. Fix a BUNCH. re-run syntax checking, Fix a BUNCH more, repeat until most are gone, THEN see if the issue still persists.
