Hi, Sorry I spoke too soon, I thought you wanted to find the primary key fields name for a table, but you wanted the Name set in the preferences. I am not sure why you need this, but it is stored at the end of the following file: ...\4D\Resources\default.4DPreferences
It is an xml formatted file and the item is 'pk_defaultName' Hope this helps.
