Thanks Tim. I'll submit a feature request for this. I need to create all tables and fields with code entirely. As a matter of fact I do not need any interface objects (forms etc.) except for casual verification etc.. Using a trigger wouyld be OK but not sure if I could assign a trigger with code only so that solution is also not practical as I'd have to go and turn on the triggers and I do not necessarily know when new Tables and Fields would be created.
The temporary solution is for me to code in default values when creating records. Clutsy and non-elegant but absolutely required for our particular use (every field needs a default value.). Hopefully in the futre 4D SQL will implement the "Default" option with Alter Table.
