I was shocked to see how few attendees there were at the Tour stop in New Jersey a couple years ago. My impression is that the developer- and user-base is way too small, considering how good 4D is. But considering the endless learning curve, and obsolescence of earlier databases, I shouldn’t be so surprised. The determination of our great leaders to improve the product is both frustrating and inspiring.
Nevertheless, considering the community as a whole — including Wakanda — and the eventuality of two things: the integration of 4D with Wakanda somehow, and the 4D command set becoming its own robust language somehow, it could someday catch fire as a widely appealing platform.
