Hello -
Yesterday, I clicked "Quit 4D" -- and dialog box saying "4D has quit
unexpectedly" popped up.
This may be unrelated to what happened today, and I didn't think too
much of it at the time, but out of precaution checked the database
with SanityCheck, DataCheck, and 4D Tools ("everything seems okay").
Today, I emptied the Trash, and as soon as clicked "Empty Trash" 4D crashed.
No dialog box asking if I really wanted to empty the Trash; no dialog
box saying 4D had unexpectedly quit. Again I checked the database
with SanityCheck, DataCheck, and 4D Tools ("everything seems okay").
I restarted the computer and reopened the database. The Trash was empty.
I moved a method into the Trash and clicked "Empty Trash". This time
I did get the do-you-want-to-empty-trash dialog. When I confirmed
that, 4D crashed again. And again I checked the database with
SanityCheck, DataCheck, and 4D Tools ("everything seems okay").
Just for information, 4D Tools reports data file use to be 93% and
structure file use to be 85%, advising that neither need to be
compacted -- but that's the only thing that I can think of to do.
v2004 OS 10.6.8
Advice, please???
Thank you -
Janie
