Pat: Maybe the way to approach it is not that Goto object doesn't work by why doesn't "get out of object" work?
What happens if you call Goto object in On load or, perhaps, from a variety of fields/vars/objects on the form? If Goto object doesn't work (which sounds like a bug), you might have to resort to posting a tab.
