I’ve got many instances of 4D Client running on Citrix or Terminal Server and the local, cached resource files are stored wherever they get stored without any issue. The only time I’ve used the “ClientLocal” folder is when I need to run 2 copies of 4D Client on the same machine to connect to the same 4D Server that is located on that machine. And in that case the 4D Client folders are NOT in "C:\Program Files (x86)\”. They are in folders that have “Full control” permissions. Are you saying you want to run 4D Client on Citrix or Terminal Server and put the “ClientLocal” folder inside the folder that 4D Client is running from? Never heard of doing this or the need to do this. Are you trying to control where the local, cached resource files are being create? The only way this will work is for the 4D Client folder to have “Full control” permissions. That’s in the Properties window for the folder on the “Security” tab and the “Users” user name selected. Windows permissions are tricky. Might work if have “Modify” and/or “Write” permissions. But “ClientLocal” is going to be reading, writing, modifying and deleting files so could be “Full control” is what is needed. In all situations I’ve dealt with “Full control” is always what I’ve used. Phone number is listed below and I’m always happy to pick up the phone and talk. I’m “old school” like that. I enjoy when my phone rings. :) Tim ***************************************** Tim Nevels Innovative Solutions 785-749-3444 [email protected] ***************************************** ********************************************************************** 4D Internet Users Group (4D iNUG) FAQ: http://lists.4d.com/faqnug.html Archive: http://lists.4d.com/archives.html Options: https://lists.4d.com/mailman/options/4d_tech Unsub: mailto:[email protected] **********************************************************************
