could it be that you are printing section anchored images in HTML WYSIWYG mode?

When printing from a WP page, everything is fine using the contextual menu print command, but printing to file (PDF) on the Mac (10.13.6) the embedded JPG is missing. An inline graphic in the text is fine. Is this a known limitation or is there some trick to this?
