This morning, I received a call about a Windows server 2012 where 4D Server v15.6 was not running. Since it runs as a service it seems to normally survive reboots of the server when their IT guys are applying security patches to Windows Server and whatnot. I’ve managed the symptom by restarting the service but I’d like to understand what happened. Apparently 187 hotfix patches were applied to Windows at 2:50 AM, any ideas why 4D Server running as a server did not restart?
