Hi Lutz, Thanks for replying. I’ve been using this mechanism in several applications for a few years now. No problems with any of them except this specific instance. I can’t see that I’m doing anything different in my code than with the other applications. Wondering if you can remember more details about 4D not quitting fast enough. Are you saying the new version would launch before your old version could get shutdown?
