My experience is a few years old, but you should be able to do this. Take care that you are using the correct version, 32-bit or 64 bit. Are you doing this on Windows? If so, make sure you’re using the correct 32 or 64 bit version of ODBC Data Source Administrator. It might be called Data Sources (ODBC) in Control Panels.
