Good point -
I already simply forgot about trying to rename.

In concept it would not be an issue as I was only going to rename a 
field named 'Unused'
But there were other considerations to renaming that occurred to me 
after I posted.

in sql - if rename works, I do not see a way to redefine the column 
from say text to longint.
I did not try changing the column definition
unused as real  vs  existing data type of text

anyway - that part of the idea is dead.
