There is a difference in how PDFCreator and Microsoft Print to PDF drivers are configured when using the SET PRINT OPTION command. Microsoft Print To PDF uses: SET PRINT OPTION(Destination Option;2) PDFCreator uses: SET PRINT OPTION(Destination Option;3) macOS also uses: SET PRINT OPTION(Destination Option;3) If you specify SET PRINT OPTION(Destination Option;3) and try to print to Microsoft Print To PDF you will see the save as file dialog box. Are you using "WR SET PRINT OPTION(wr destination option;3;…” to enable printing to a PDF? If so, I would try switching to “2”. If you are using SET PRINT OPTION and OPEN PRINTING JOB with the WR PRINT command, change the SET PRINT OPTION to use “2”.
