The server is a mini (late 2014). The clients are minis. Same age or a bit older.
Software has run without error for many years, occasional updates when the various hospitals change forms. One mini does the scheduling. A couple of others do billing, patient queries and such. In the last few weeks, it has begun crashing - no error messages (well, one today - a write error). This also takes the server out. Today, one of the other minis crashed. I access with Teamviewer. I restart the server. Twice I’ve Maintenance and Security Center, and verified the database, records and indexes. No errors. If I restart without deleting the cache, it will always crash again - trying to read beyond the end of a file. So, I clear the cache, and then client runs fine. My guess? A hard drive going bad. Which one becomes the problem. _________________________________________ Bob McKeever http://www.mswl.com <http://www.mswl.com/> McKeever's Software Wizardry Port Coquitlam, B.C.
