And another thing, which is related to the branding issue but in fact doesn't violate anyones marketing rights is: Before and after gdm you can see the typical colours of Ubuntu - which fits perfectly to their Desktop design, but just looks totally annoying with 64studios gdm-theme and its desktop arts. Maybe you should change this to black - or the grey the gdm-theme is using. It's easily made: Just add "GraphicalThemedColor=#000000" in /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-cutom in the [greeter] area to get a black backgroud.
