Hi All, Don't know if anyone is still on this list, but I thought I'd try.
As many here are, I'm running Debian these days. Recently, I have been unable to get JACK to work with my Firepod (it used to work fine). The messages are cryptic, and after many searches, I'm at a loss. I found one post with a similar error message, and the user reported a loose cable. That's not my problem.
At this point, I'm giving up on firewire and am looking at sound cards that work with Alsa.
So, if anyone is here, do you have any recommendations for a sound card that I could use with Debian stable (squeeze), Alsa, and JACK, Ardour, etc.?
The lists I've found are a bit outdated, I thought I might try an M-Audio Delta 1010, but they are no longer available. I'd like to go shopping soon, but don't want to end up with something else that doesn't work with Linux.
