Hi :)

to be safe against hostilities I'm now writing and searching from my 64 Studio 2.1 Non-Lenny, but vanilla install.

I searched the Suse 11.0 standard repositories, including Packman, but extravagant repositories disabled.

For Suse there is MusE-seq. MusE is also in the 64 Studio repositories, but like Rosegarden it isn't stable on my computer.

For Suse there is canorus with MIDI IO, but it isn't in the 64 Studio stable, testing, backports and Etch repositories of the 64 Studio vanilla install.

So it will be not interesting for Susan, but maybe for Arthur.

For Suse there's also noteedit and nothing else, resp. I might have to search by using other keywords, I guess I was looking for 'score edit'. I'm missing Rosegarden/Lilypond, I definitive have installed it for Suse ;).

There are some score editors available for Linux, without MIDI IO I guess. I don't think this is something Arthur is looking for, but maybe it's something for you Susan.

Maybe the Lilypond backend denemo from the 64 Studio vanilla install repositories works better for Lilypond than Roesegarden does.

HTH,
Ralf
