maybe you should use two kernels. One for real-time and one for ethernet. Kernels ex 2.6.26 are broken for real-time use. You can try if the kernel 2.6.24 is fine for ethernet, I guess it's in the Etch repositories and if so you can build your own 2.6.24-rt, see http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00742.html. I guess there's a newer patch for RT out now. HTH, Ralf
