I installed proprietary driver today for my Nvidia 6200 ... it was going
flawlessly with 2.6.24.7-20rt kernel.
But still I can't better resolution than 1280x768.
I've tried change it by gnome resolution tool and "Nvidia X server settings"
without success, both tools offers 1280x768 as maximum.

Here is important part of my xorg.conf :
Section "Device"
    Identifier "nVidia Corporation NV11 [GeForce2 MX/MX 400]"
    Driver "nvidia"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Default Screen"
    Device "nVidia Corporation NV11 [GeForce2 MX/MX 400]"
    Monitor "Generic Monitor"
    DefaultDepth 24
    SubSection "Display"
        Depth 16
        Modes "1920x1200" "1680x1050" "1600x1024" "1440x900" "1280x768"
"1024x768" "960x600" "800x600"
    EndSubSection
    SubSection "Display"
        Depth 24
        Modes "1920x1200" "1680x1050" "1600x1024" "1440x900" "1280x768"
"1024x768" "960x600" "800x600"
    EndSubSection
EndSection
