> not early alpha testings, but RCs. > Now we will write a lot about Lenny in this list ;), some time ago, but not to long ago, less people were writing about Lenny, this shouldn't annoy the user list users, resp. users for any other Linux list or forum, but often it does.
I also do understand some arguments against my wish. At Linux Club they informed me, that they had such a RC forum some time ago, but there were less people like me with concerns like the one I've got, with less people who know what CVS, SVN, RC means, but a lot of "incompetent version collectors" instead. Some Linux Magazine comes with a RC DVD and people install it and kill the "existing Windows install on the computer of the parents", after that they rail against the unstable release that damaged the system at home. THIS IS THE FAULT of bad Linux Magazines, that comes with headlines like, e.g. "Suse with KDE4.1 is better than Vista! We've got this Suse now!", while the stable release of Suse still comes with KDE 3.5.9 and as a gimmick with KDE 4.0. I had a broken computer for nearly a hole day, because of a bug of Suse 11.1 RC and I know about the risks, people reading "Linux is better than Vista, install Suse 11.1 RC or Debian Sid" don't know about the risks, because of the sensational headlines. There shouldn't be such bad Linux Magazines.
