I'm not connected to the internet with my 32bit install, also I'll only use packages from the install DVD, as far as this will be possible.

To compile jconv for this install I downloaded and compiled nearly all dependencies, just one is missing, because of a conflict.

I don't want to debase this install.

Jconv needs fftw3, but this conflicts with libfftw3-3.

Is it possible to solve this conflict, without getting "undesirable side effects"?

I guess I'm able to compile jconv, but I fear this will damage the install.

Searching the forums I don't found a pleasable solution.

To forgo jconv isn't bad, because the priority is to have a stable install, but maybe it's possible to compile jconv, by keeping the install without critical changes.

Does anybody know if this is possible?
