I wouldn't recommend using a web browser to download a file of this size. Try wget, it's very reliable and can resume downloads where they left off, if you use the -c option: http://www.linuxmanpages.com/man1/wget.1.php > Does this mean that I have to spend hundreds of pounds before I can > finally , hopefully manage to get the complete download? If you are on a dial-up internet connection and are paying by the minute, you could ask your ISP or a local university to mirror our downloads.
