I wouldn't recommend using a web browser to download a file of this 
size. Try wget, it's very reliable and can resume downloads where they 
left off, if you use the -c option:

I hope not, our downloads are 'free as in beer', as well as being Free 
Software.

If you are on a dial-up internet connection and are paying by the 
minute, you could ask your ISP or a local university to mirror our 
downloads. We have an rsync feed available, to make it very easy for 
them to build a mirror.
