I had 3.0 beta working, but i did my usual lilo install and it stopped
booting.

I changed the UUIDs in /etc/fstab to their /dev/sda string. I then booted a
live Ubuntu cd and mount my install and chroot to it. do a sudo liloconfig,
edit /etc/lilo.conf to add my windows partition, then run sudo lilo -b
/dev/sda. I have done this many times before with Ubuntu Fiesty, Gutsy and
Hardy and had no issues. Windows boots fine, but 64 Studio boots and hits an
error when fsck checks my boot partition and displays this error and drops
me to a root debug command line:

Log of fsck -C -R -A -a Thu Mar 12 23:14:54 2009

fsck 1.40.8 (13-Mar-2008) /dev/sda6 is mounted. e2fsck: Cannot continue,
aborting.

fsck died with exit status 8

My kern.log is here.

I am able to hit control d and boot into 64Studio, but when I login it
complains that my /home partition(separate from my /) is not available and
gets numerous errors.

Does 2.6.29 require those UUIDs in fstab? I know lilo is a thing of times
past, but any help is appreciated.

Let me know if any more info is needed to debug. Thanks.
