I am also curious about your testing methodology (how are you measuring the jitter). Your numbers are useless without us being able to replicate them.
I have a physical synth that I can test with (ie. midi in to the synth, analogue audio out from the synth). Right now my rig is in pieces as I shuffle hardware around and get rid of unnecessary gear. I should be able to test in a couple of weeks. Also, I have never used the irqtuning script. The only computer I have had that I needed to tweak was ultimately not suitable to be running Linux, which is why I got rid of it. To simplify testing, I would keep your system as close to stock as possible, otherwise weird timing issues will be nearly impossible to track down. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAko5MkAACgkQwRXgH3rKGfNYNgCgnmeyk47nDlGp0ajySZkgQJ0Q bPAAn0Cd6Tdh2YbgNzlgNCLgm9FRU7YP =P7Gr -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ 64studio-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-users
