If someone makes a mistake or says something dumb, there is going to be a response. It is what it is, I would not worry about it. Make peace and move on. <snip> > > I don't want to stoke up anything again ;). > OK, I know I have posted this link for you before, but I do not get the sense that you have read it or understand it.
http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html If you get what Eric is saying, you should not have any problems. I hope that you will incorporate the ideas in this document into your own behaviour. I truly believe that your experiences will improve as a result. > Seriously! Having said that, I cannot imagine that they would not want to know about hardware that does something unusual. The LKML is not for the faint of heart. It is a busy list so there tends to be very little tolerance for ignorance. It is a good idea to know what you are talking about. Even if you do know what you are talking you will still likely get flamed. It is what it is, there is no point in worrying about it. Usually there is something to be learned from the responses you get so treat each encounter as a learning opportunity, no matter how "gloomy" you may perceive the situation to be. As with any Internet group or community it is a good idea to to lurk for a while to get a feeling for the people and the culture. Once you know what is expected you will have a better chance of a successful interaction. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkpBa5QACgkQwRXgH3rKGfMsdACeNdRJMuP+uDtJJKAKiKdCUh3L qd4An36bb2QtOkfDCDDdfqxqfytTaZNr =sTpk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ 64studio-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-users
