Perhaps there is a hack to run it on Debian based distros on 64Bit too. 
On Suse the LightScribe application from the LightScribe side is fine on 
64Bit. I checked it for Suse 11.0 and 11.1 rc. For one Suse version I 
needed to search a 32Bit lib and for the other version there the lib was 
in the repositories, but there was a dependency conflict, so I needed to 
remove some packages (only for one Suse version).
