This is what I was writing before. A cut at 80Hz, resp. 79Hz ;). That's 
fine. We don't know the audio signal, but maybe, instead of cutting  
several  middle band filters, just boosting the highs at around 12 to 16 
KHz might cause less phase shifting, but it might has got the wanted 
effect too. Remember the way how analogue filters work! By using 
capacitors the "time" is changed for a part of the signal, that means it 
becomes phase shifted. It's hard for me to explain on English. A good EQ 
don't cause bad phases, it only influence the way it should do, but 
using EQs for each instrument and a lot of EQs for the stereo sum, you 
can get bad phases or some kind of unwanted digital effects. One should 
avoid to cut a band for the channels and to bosst it again for the 
stereo sum etc. ...
