I had no time to look at it closely, but the BBC people seems to be friendly and competent. I wish you success! >> Someone played guitar using Rakarrack, that reminded me, that it's >> needed for 64 Studio by default. > > I'm looking into guitar applications at the moment. Creox is good if > you don't have effects pedals. I did a quick search, I guess you are talking about this: http://zyzstar.kosoru.com/?creox As someone from the 80ies I've got those classic BOSS pedals and others and I still prefer them, especially because I seldom need anything more than Overdrive or a Sustainer for clean bottleneck play. Virtual effects pedals of any kind are more interesting for virtual organs, virtual D6 etc. and Guitarix maybe as GUI for jconv. Amp simulation and tube distortion is an interesting topic for me, as a home-recorder. I'm waiting for the application that makes my guitar connected to the mixing console sound like a stack. >> One thought from Linux folks in this documentation was the idea to use >> FLOSS with Windows too, which also is the origin why I like to install >> anti virus software to my 64 Studio 3.0-beta3 install too. > > Like Gustin, I am very sceptical about the motives of the AV industry. > Reactive scanners just don't help users much, there's no substitute > for user education on security. > >> in my opinion >> the anti virus software is needed to protect other people > > Friends don't let friends share Windows executables ;-) > > Cheers! > > Daniel :) Cheers, Ralf _______________________________________________ 64studio-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-users
