Hi list,
I record tracks in Ardour with these Jack settings, and it was fine :
-R -P89 -p128 -dalsa -dhw:0 -r48000 -p128 -n3 -D -Pplughw:0 -i2 -o2 -Xseq
Then I try to mix with many plugins, and due to the "formidable" PC I use,
Ardour don't want to do anything...
Many thanks to Ralf Mardorf, who suggest to increase the frames/period,
and decrease the buffer.
So I fixed QJackCtrl settings to :
-R -P89 -p128 -dalsa -dhw:0 -r48000 -p256 -n2 -D -Pplughw:0 -i2 -o2
And can do what I like to in Ardour !
It seems important, to me, and if somebody will say anything more or
less (s)he's welcome, to point this fact :
one setting for record in real time, and another setting to mix in good
conditions
Not sure of that, but maybe it could be a page on the 64Studio site to
explain this better than I can do in this poor english ?? In fact, maybe
it exists already and I was not able to find !! Manytimes in Linux for
me it's the case, solution was here from the very beginning, and don't
seen it !!
Thanks again to Ralf to reveal this to me, I hope that will help.
Greets,
Fred
