Hi, I have noticed with beta 3 that sometimes I get Xruns with very large
values. I have researched the internet and this symptom can be found since
2006 but is still occurring in some Ubuntu and Studio systems, and also even
posted in the 64studio forum without any useful response anywhere including
the internet. I found one post in a kernel archive from a long time ago
that was the typical 'we patched this a long time ago' but also contained
mention of jack getting 2 different timers. The first 2 digits are almost
always 12.....with the remaining ones varying. The VERY LARGE Async XRUN is
audible and happens with wined apps and a native one like Renoise 2.
What timer does 64STV3b3 supposed to use to time stamp events? Is it RTC or
something else? How can I check that? Could any settings for the clock vs
the hardware clock on the mobo cause this?

I am using RME hardware currently and I am pretty sure I have seen this with
both the multimedia and RT kernel. Certainly the RT...

Thanks,

jonathan adams leonard
