Hi :) just an information. I guess I do understand some problems of "change root". It's a sandbox, I don't know if it would be possible to set it up with real-time ability, but anyway I suspect that an application in the chroot won't be able to be synced by JACK transport to applications outside chroot. I didn't check again if it's possible to install a LightScribe application to the chroot, because I guess this failed the first time when I tried it, because I guess there will be a driver that needs to be installed outside the chroot, too the 64bit system, but the driver also is for 32bit architecture. For Animata the chroot might be fine, because it's an application that don't need to be in sync with applications outside the sandbox and because no 32bit driver is needed. Btw. Animata is good software, but it comes with some limitations. Even if it's very fast without a proprietary 3D driver, there seems to be no way to export the work as a video. I guess there's the need to use an application that is able to record videos running on a desktop application. Even if e.g. recordMyDesktop should be able to record videos from the desktop, I suspect that my computer then won't be fast enough without the proprietary graphics driver.
For 32bit applications on 64bit Linux installations the way Suse enables this seems to be the only usable way, a chroot seems to be an odd patchwork that is fine for some applications, but not a solution for the problem at all. I wonder if it will be possible to make 64 Studio 64bit in the future the way Suse is built?
