We actually had a discussion along those lines ;-)

V4 will be based on 10.04 LTS (as planned) and depending on the 
stability of the distro, should be available sometime during 2010.

We can only hope the guys at Canonical does not make too many drastic 
changes to the ubuntu core at that time, but it being LTS should spare 
us some grief.
