There seems to be no source for the default kernel, but there's a kernel
2.6.29 build by Quentin, dunno if it's available for all architectures.

To the repositories used by Synaptic add:

deb http://apt.harleystudio.co.za hardy main

Then install the source for the 2.6.29 kernrl-rt. If it won't work
launch Firefox and load it manually from http://apt.harleystudio.co.za,
then run dpkg by using the force option:

$ sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite <Pakage name>

Then you should be able to build latest ALSA for this kernel. I once installed
Quentin's source too, for patching it with a special suspend function and it
was fine.

Hth,
Ralf
