Clicked the "System restart required" button

It failed, I waited until I was asked to configure X, I tried to do it,
but then cancel it.
After the session was started, while I started to restore the old
settings, a button "Restricted drivers available" appeared. I installed
the drivers and again clicked the "System restart required" button.

Btw. last time GDM was ok, it was broken before I tried the Ubuntu
kernel-rt.
After startup I had a black screen Ctrl + Alt + Backspace and Ctrl + Alt
+ Del didn't work, not when single and not when double pushing it.
I reset the computer and repaired xorg.conf for 64 Studio when I was
running a Suse session.

Now GDM is broken again, but the session using the FLOSS nv driver is ok
again.
And the "new" kernel is ok too.

spinymouse-s...@64studio:~$ uname -r
